Today I am working on a few doll orders that need to go out. I'm also documenting my process so I can offer a My Gigi Doll Tutorial in my Etsy Shop. I'm actually pretty excited about that.
But....what I'd really rather be working on today is quilt squares! I
just learned a new quilt-as-you-go technique that I love. I
don't know exactly where I'm going with this, but I have in mind a
rainbow colored quilt (surprise, surprise).
I'm loving the white space...
What are you doing today? Anything you'd rather be doing?
Oh, and, here's a cat:
So, not gonna go comment on all the posts I just read, but couldn't resist this one! Those quilt squares look delightful!!! What is the quilt as you go technique? Will you talk about that/link that sometime? I know a way or two of doing it, curious what new method you found; the results are lovely so far!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying your blog!
I found this particular technique in "Patchwork Style" by Suzuko Koseki. Here is the link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Patchwork-Style-Simple-Projects-Colorful/dp/159030649X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348059599&sr=8-1&keywords=patchwork+style (I found it at my library)
ReplyDeleteHere is a blog I found that did a quilt-along with this technique. I decided to do monochromatic blocks in the colors of the rainbow. I'm not sure how I'm going to put them all together yet, though!
